This Ramadan, United Hands Relief gave Zakat Al Fitr (Fitra) to thousands of impoverished individuals in several countries – Jordan, Palestine, Rohingya, Bangladesh, Yemen and East Africa. In Jordan, Zakat Al Fitr was distributed in the form of warm meals and other food supplies before the Eid prayer.
Unfortunately, despite all our efforts, thousands are left without adequate food during the holy month of Ramadan and during Eid celebrations. We will continue to reach these families throughout the year. Please donate now to help us reach these families and make a positive difference in the lives of many in need.
During this blessed month of Ramadan – 2019, United Hands Relief is thankful to all our generous donors for the opportunity to help vulnerable families in various countries across the world. Many families are struggling to find food for breaking their fast, whether it be due to being in the midst of a war zone or experiencing drought, famine, natural or manmade disaster, etc.
UHR’s teams in Jordan distributed food aid, fresh meat, and gifts throughout Jordan during Ramadan helping vulnerable families. UHR ensured that the families receiving food packages will have enough food for the duration of the holy month.
The food packages included nutritious food items like lentils, rice, tuna, beans, vegetables, sugar, oils, dates, noodles, spaghetti, milk, chicken broth cubes, and more. One food package served five to seven people. Bigger families received two food packages.
Thank you for helping us save the lives of the less fortunate this Ramadan. Your donation made a lasting impact.
As winter unfolds, refugees across the Middle East will soon encounter freezing temperatures. In Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Rohingya. United Hands Relief is distributing essential items to help people brave this winter.
Children are particularly vulnerable. Many are surviving in tents or makeshift shelters with little infrastructure to support them. Children are sleeping on cold grounds wearing light clothing, which can lead to serious health risks.

During the seven years of conflict in Syria, over 660,000 registered Syrian refugees have sought refuge in the small nation of Jordan.
In a country with high unemployment and limited natural resources, opportunities for Syrian refugees to work legally are extremely limited. Refugees have found themselves trapped in limbo with little to do but wait – for over half a decade. Many are in constant fear of arrest or deportation.

These families do not have permits and are 100% dependent on aid received from relief organizations. Their rent was paid in full, and they received cash assistance for food, water, health and education.
