In addition to delivering emergency aid around the world, United Hands Relief also helps the poorest of the poor and brings relief to disaster victims locally and nationwide. To honor UHR’s Dallas-Fort Worth community, UHR expanded its local programs to help low-income families, refugees, and the homeless within the local community by establishing a 5,000 sqft processing center in Arlington, Texas.

EMERGENCY DISASTER RELIEF
When disaster strikes, UHR’S priority is to first start saving lives, then to help vulnerable communities hit hard by disaster (natural or man-made) come back stronger by: providing access to life-saving necessities (shelter, food, water, clothing)
- supporting families, especially children to regain stability
- rebuilding communities
- instilling hope and restoring dignity
HUNGER & THE HOMELESS
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) estimated that 11.1% of US households were food insecure in 2018. That’s about 14.3 million households. In Texas it is higher at 18%. The developing food pantry is helping contribute small but measurable provisions, allowing families to allocate this part of their income toward other living essentials. UHR also supports our homeless community members with hot meals, food packages and more.
If you are among those blessed to be able to share their wealth with others, please contribute directly to this food pantry project, where 100% of proceeds will go directly toward purchasing food to keep our shelves stocked.
PARTNERSHIPS AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT
To date, in 2021 UHR has already contributed to the safety and success of thousands of students across over 18 Independent School Districts, various colleges and universities, and technical training schools by distributing 800 backpacks. We could not have done this alone.
By partnering with teachers, community leaders, administrators and parents, UHR is able to reach more students. These partnershipS help meet the students’ needs more effectively ensuring more stability during their academic years. We are always looking to increase partnerships with other organizations who have like minded civic goals and missions to empower our underserved and disadvantaged populations.
COVID-19 PANDEMIC RELIEF
As 2020 came to an end, we witnessed the outbreak that exploded into a global pandemic. Since day one, UHR has been on the frontlines. Distributing over 1,135,000 masks and vital PPE materials locally and nationally, UHR teams have helped save the lives of fellow Texans Americans.
The Arlington resource center provides low income families and individuals with essential goods, such as; furniture, household, hygiene and clothing items. The resource center’s new food pantry is helping to provide for families each day as our community reach continues to grow.
Give. Volunteer. Support.
Today, UHR accepts monetary donations, as well as product donations of misprinted, slightly damaged, over-stocked, or gently used supplies from individuals, organizations, and corporations nationwide. With the help of our dedicated volunteers, product donations are sorted at our processing center, so they are ready to be shipped for immediate distribution. Locals in need can call and schedule an appointment to visit the center and pick up the items they need. With the support of individual donors and corporations, UHR maintains its facility with products and resources that are then passed on to individuals in need and distributed during disaster situations
Due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 50 million people are experiencing food security
