Afghanistan Earthquake Crisis
Earthquakes in Afghanistan have caused a state of emergency in an already troubled country. After dealing with bad floods just a couple of weeks ago, now the country is trying to help those affected by earthquakes.
Many homes and buildings were destroyed or badly damaged in the tremors, leaving thousands of people homeless. Rescue workers are still searching for survivors who may be trapped under the rubble. The death toll is currently at 1150 and rising, with the number of affected by the earthquake in Afghanistan being over 1500.
The Afghan government has declared a three-day period of national mourning and called for international assistance and UHR responded immediately. We quickly started an Afghanistan Earthquake Relief Program. Please consider helping by donating to the tragic disaster. Our Afghanistan Earthquake Relief Program will provide food, hygiene, bedding essentials, and even an option to help build homes.
Afghanistan Earthquake Emergency
The poverty rate in Afghanistan was already a big concern before the earthquake hit. Now, the situation is even worse. Many people have lost their homes and all of their belongings. They are sleeping outside in the cold with no food or water. The government is doing what it can to help, but they need more international assistance.
It is tragic what the people in Afghanistan have had to deal with lately. First, floods ravaged the country. Then, two massive earthquakes killed thousands of people and left many more homeless. Afghanistan has been hit with crisis after crisis, we must do everything in our power to help. Donate now and help the less fortunate.
